词根释义：sound, voice, speech
词根背景知识补充：这个词根和昨天说的voc都可以表示“声音”，但是phon只有“声音”的意思，没有voc丰富。例子很多，比如最常见的telephone。


1. cacophony [kæ'kɔfəni]
定义: harsh or unpleasant sound
例句: To some people, much recent jazz sounds more like cacophony than like real music.
